Facing Forward is run by the Leeds Macmillan Head and Neck Rehab Team, which consists of s Speech Therapist, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Dietitian and a Clinical Support Worker. This is a unique team which is part of a wider regional project evaluating the services available to patients following treatment completion.
The group meets weekly for 7 weeks and the programme runs 3 times per year. It is open to any person (patients/carers) who has been affected by head and neck cancer regardless of tumour site, disease status or lenght of time since treament.
Facing Forward offers a combination of health and wellbeing information, survivorship promotion and peer support opportunities.
