Get A-Head is a local support group that runs quarterly events held in the Outpatient Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham on the 1st Wednesday of February, May, August & November from 5pm -7pm.
The group talk about things that have affected them personally and also work on a patient newsletter that is currently being produced twice a year.
The patient group also plan events and meetings for patients and family to get together, such as coffee mornings, golf days, pub lunches and the annual patient Christmas party.
Any patient and their family & friends are welcome to join.
