Dental Practice Prepares for Brighton Colour Run
The countdown is on for a team of 9 from a dental practice in Southampton who are in training for the 5k Colour Run which takes place in Brighton on the 23rd September 2017.
Cancer is very close to the entire team from SCA Trafalgar Dental Practice, who have all dealt with family members coping with or passing away from cancer. One of the practice’s dental nurses lost her Grandfather to throat cancer on Christmas Eve in 2015 so for this event they have chosen to support our charity.
Team leader, Jessica Grove says “We have chosen to fundraise for the Mouth Cancer Foundation as we work very closely with our patients, in preventing and educating them about the signs and risks of mouth cancer. We send many of the patients for referrals on a weekly basis if they show signs of any cancerous lesions. As well as having dealt with the sadness of cancer as a team personally, we all wish to provide care for our patients, especially those who suffer from mouth cancer”.
