SUPPORTING HEAD AND NECK CANCER QUALITY STANDARDS
We are proud to announce that we are supporting a National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) initiative on Head and Neck Cancer Quality Standard.
Supporting this quality standard involves the Mouth Cancer Foundation working together with NICE to ensure that those commissioning, providing or using services are made aware of and encouraged to use the best practice possible.
This quality standard covers assessing, diagnosing and managing head and neck cancer, including cancer of the upper aero digestive tract, in young people (aged 16 and 17) and adults (aged 18 and over). It describes high-quality care in priority areas for improvement.
We are all for keeping standards high, up to date and throughout the development processes. For more information visit www.nice.org.uk/guidance/qs146
